Secondaries Machining Manager – chucker, lathe, threading
Great opportunity for candidates with strong secondary machining experience to start up a department.
A growing manufacturer of fasteners and engineered products is going to in-source their secondary machining needs. We are searching for candidates with solid experience with chuckers, shaping, threading, milling, deburring, drilling and various secondary operations. This is a hands on position requiring knowledge of estimating, speeds / feeds, cutting tools, fixturing, machine selection, set up and problem solving. The position will be ideal for a Manufacturing Engineer or Technician Supervisor.
Our client currently has a small secondary machining. We are looking for candidates who can purchase equipment, develop processes, estimate tooling, run times and machining cost, purchase tooling, set up, troubleshoot, repair, hire, train and manage. The ideal candidate will have experience in production cold heading, machining or screw machine products industries who has focused their efforts in the secondary machining areas.
MUST HAVE: the ability to develop processes, quote select tooling, calculate cycletimes, set up, troubleshoot and mange the activities of a production secondary machining department.
